On October 24, Dr. K. Warren Volker, Chief Clinical Officer, was honored by the Las Vegas HEALS organization with their Inspired Excellence in Healthcare Award. Dr. Volker was one of six individuals lauded for their visionary and practical contribution to the elevation of local healthcare.
Dr. Volker joined Intermountain Health Nevada (now Intermountain Health) through the acquisition of WellHealth Quality Care, where he served as the CEO for five years. Dr. Volker served as Chief Clinical Officer and was part of the team working with commercial, government and self-funded payers leading to value-based opportunities. Dr. Volker also oversaw Graduate Medical Education (GME) and research and has been long known for his visionary thinking and congenial style.
The nonprofit Las Vegas HEALS (Health, Education, Advocacy, Leadership) organization was founded in 2002 and is a membership-based association. Its mission is to foster strategic alliances in the healthcare community, collaborate on workforce issues, and serve as a proactive force for legislative issues that improve the access and delivery of quality healthcare in Southern Nevada.
