Amy King, NP-C

Amy King joined Intermountain Health as a Nurse Practitioner for three great reasons: Our comprehensive NP fellowship, our community service projects, and our core values of patient-centered healthcare.

Growing up in northern Alabama, many of her friends and family members were medical professionals, which inspired her to take up nursing.  She enjoys the opportunity to educate and mentor fellow medical practitioners, as well as empowering other women to take charge of their bodies and health.

Mrs. King served 11 years on active duty in the US Air Force, and she remains an Air Force Reservist. While in the service, she worked in primary care, pediatrics, and as a Clinical Nurse, Flight Nurse, Chief Nurse, Charge Nurse, and Instructor at bases in Alabama, Nevada, Japan, and Hawaii.

Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama, Master of Science in Health Science from Touro University, and Master of Science in Nursing from Auburn University.

In her free time, Mrs. King enjoys hiking and weightlifting. She is conversational in Spanish.
