Dr. Blessing Jerome strives to provide the best quality healthcare possible to her patients, especially in cases where chronic diseases need to be managed.
Growing up in an underserved community in Nigeria, she has witnessed firsthand how people can die and become disabled without access to healthcare. She understands how highly-trained healthcare technicians and modern medical technology can make a vital difference in the lives of patients.
Her professional background includes serving as a medical officer and care technician in hospitals in Nigeria and North Carolina, where she screened and diagnosed patients, performed wound management, and prescribed treatment plans, as well as performing administrative duties. She has volunteered her time counseling teenagers on avoiding HIV/AIDS and testing the homeless for HIV.
Dr. Jerome completed her Internal Medicine residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also has a Master of Public Health degree from Medical College of Wisconsin.
In her free time, Dr. Jerome enjoys cooking, dancing and reading.
