Find the Provider Right for You
Elrah Gfeller, PA, had many goals as a child but none as compelling as helping others. She immigrated with her family to the U.S. from the small island of St. Vincent in the Caribbean at the age of 13 and the quiet young woman knew working in medicine was her calling.
Ms. Gfeller completed her undergraduate degree at Nassau Community College and followed that by earning her bachelors at Hofstra University in New York. She obtained her Physician Assistant at CUNY School of Medicine, one of the country’s oldest P.A. programs. Ms. Gfeller’s clinical training included Harlem Hospital before she made her way out west to Intermountain Healthcare. Since being in Nevada, she has earned her Master of Science at Touro College.
Ms. Gfeller is an observant clinician and went into endocrinology because she knows that diabetes is a global health crisis. She enjoys listening to patients and treating them like she would want her family treated. She prides herself on getting to know her patients so that she can better communicate with those who are more at-risk for chronic endocrine conditions like diabetes.
When Ms. Gfeller has the chance to relax, she embraces it with great enthusiasm. Not much for sightseeing when she travels, she admits that a nice glass of white wine and a sketch pad still bring her great joy.
