Boston native Dr. George Scleparis joined Intermountain Health, in 2020 because he appreciates our core values of high-quality, patient-centered, evidence-base cardiology. He enjoys establishing productive partnerships with patients in order to keep them healthy and to improve their daily lives.

Dr. Scleparis enjoys working cases where patients are actively involved in their own care because they are usually more fun and can achieve great outcomes. He has received awards for customer service and the Top Doc award from his patients and peers. However, he views his greatest professional accomplishment as his daily opportunities to help patients achieve their goals.

Growing up in Boston, he was surrounded by some of the most respected medical institutions in the world and he felt compelled to become part of the medical community. He earned his BS in Biology from the University of Massachusetts in Boston and interned at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has a subspecialty certification in Cardiovascular Disease.

When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Scleparis supports charities including the American Heart Association, Habitat for Humanity, Nature Conservancy, and many others. His hobbies include cycling, hiking, studying new languages, cooking, and travel.
