Joshua Leichman, MD

Dr. Joshua Leichman brings a decade of experience in cardiovascular electrophysiology and treatment of cardiovascular disease to his work with Intermountain Health. He welcomed the opportunity to provide quality care in an established and well-regarded healthcare organization.

Dr. Leichman gets great satisfaction from watching patients improve with either medical therapy, device therapy, or ablation. He enjoys performing ablations for cardiac arrhythmias, which can bring profound improvements to patients’ lives and in some cases become a cure.

Before joining Intermountain Health, Dr. Leichman practiced in Oregon for 8 years and in Southern California for two years. At all these locations, he was responsible for oversight of the cardiac device clinic and performed standard and complex ablations, implanted pacemakers, defibrillators, and biventricular devices. Dr. Leichman worked as an investigator on several groundbreaking cardiovascular research projects and has published numerous articles on cardiovascular treatments in professional journals.

When not working, Dr. Leichman enjoys hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, watching professional soccer, gardening and baking bread. He even has created his own sour dough starter. If he had not gone into medicine, he believes he’d like to have been a farmer.
