Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Lamarr Tyler initially discovered his passion for women’s health while in his first year of residency. After completing his first year in the department of Family Practice, Dr. Tyler realized his desire to work in women’s health and turned his career around to focus on obstetrics and gynecology.
At Intermountain Healthcare, Dr. Tyler’s care philosophy is that the doctor-patient relationship is one of a shared partnership. He believes every patient is unique and likewise, their care should be individualized. He also believes that patients should be active participants and engaged in their healthcare and encourages his patients to have an active role in their health.
Dr. Tyler seeks to provide patients with up-to-date, evidence-based healthcare options and to enable his patients to make the most informed choices regarding their healthcare needs.
Dr. Tyler optimizes the most current and minimally invasive technologies to optimize female health and care. In his free time, he enjoys living an active lifestyle and embraces health and wellness in all forms. He accomplishes his goal of living a healthy lifestyle in various ways and lists cycling, skiing, and yoga as a big part of his fitness regimen.
Dr. Tyler received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics/Gynecology and affiliated with the American Medical Association, the North American Menopause Society, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the National Medical Association, and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
