Maile Naomi Akiko Kane, DO
Dr. Maile Kane grew up on Balboa Island in California and in Kailua, Hawaii. She has always been a small town gal, which is why she loves living in Mesquite, NV and working at Intermountain Healthcare’s myGeneration Senior Clinic. She specializes in senior care and enjoys creating treatment plans for those with diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension.
Dr. Kane earned her doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from North Texas University. As a medical student she used her paramedic experience working in the ER. She won the NTU Community service award, working at clinics in Juarez, Mexico during spring breaks and spending summers teaching future minority pre-med students. She did her Residency at Millcreek Community Hospital and won the Joseph Namey Resident award. She also moonlighted as an ER physician. She did volunteer work with March of Dimes in Erie and continued in Florida. She started her own award-winning Family Practice 25 years ago, which was across the street from the Atlantic Ocean. She was the FEMA physician for her city during the 2004 hurricane disaster. Dr. Kane also sat on the Board for March of Dimes and volunteered for the National Kidney Foundation.
She enjoys playing guitar, hula dancing, scuba diving, board games, volleyball and is trying to master pickle ball. She enjoys supporting local school sports and believes in giving her best in all she does. In the Brevard County Home Town News, readers voted Dr. Kane’s Beachside Family Practice as #1 Family Practice 6 years in a row. She looks forward to her next 25 yrs of practice at Intermountain Healthcare in Mesquite, NV.
