Dr. Nika Vizcarra joined Intermountain Healthcare because we share her values of evidence-based medicine, lifelong learning, patient care, and work-life balance. She was also looking for a workplace that would encourage her to expand her surgical skills and build a fulfilling practice.

She believes obstetrics and gynecology offer unique opportunities to help young people navigate their first introduction to the confusing world of reproductive health and contraception and guide them all the way from pregnancy to menopause. In addition to expert medical care, she enjoys providing compassion and comfort to patients during important times in their lives.

Dr. Vizcarra holds a BA in biology from Brandeis University and an MS in human nutrition from Columbia University. She earned her MD from Penn State College of Medicine and completed residency at Kirk Kerkorkian School of Medicine at UNLV.

In her spare time, Dr. Vizcarra enjoys travel, wine tasting, dancing, as well as classic Hollywood films and cinematography.
