Dr. Rixin Zhou brings more than 17 years of experience in his specialties of internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology to his position with Intermountain Healthcare.

In addition to his MD, Dr. Zhou holds a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where he also served as a teaching assistant for medical school and research assistant in Histology. He was also a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Chicago Cancer Center. He won cancer research awards from American Society of Clinical Oncology and the University of Illinois Chicago. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo and fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Maryland.

Before joining Intermountain Healthcare, Dr. Zhou practiced at the Nevada Cancer Center in Las Vegas. He is certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
