Robert Hayes, MD

Dr. Robert Hayes joined Intermountain Health because his past experience indicated this to be a quality company. On a daily basis, he enjoys working with his fellow providers and when patients say “thank you.” He has seen thousands of patients over his four decades of experience, and still enjoys the challenges of minor surgeries. He is a strong believer in prevention, and emphasizes this aspect to all his patients.

Dr. Hayes grew up in Newport, Oregon, and science teachers were his role models. In his free time, Dr. Hayes enjoys working on his ranch with his family and building and remodeling. If he hadn’t gone into medicine, Dr. Hayes says he would have pursued a career in computer engineering.

Dr. Hayes holds a BS from Western Oregon State University. He earned his MD at Oregon Health Sciences Center and did his residency at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. He is conversational in Spanish.
