Dr. Suneetha Chinta grew up in Hyderabad, India, with a husband and a brother and sister who are all medical providers, which helped her choose her career.
She began her journey by earning her MD from Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, followed by an internship at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad and a residence in pathology at Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad. Upon moving to the US, she completed her family medicine residency at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.
From there, she became a primary care and urgent care physician at Bloom Hospital in Hyderabad. She has worked on numerous medical research projects at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in molecular biology, and University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in hematology/oncology. She has had several articles published in medical journals on topics surrounding leukemia.
Her volunteer experience includes a polio immunization program designed to eradicate polio in India and an educational campaign promoting health and nutrition.
Dr. Chinta joined Intermountain Health on the strength of recommendations from several friends who were already part of our team. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
