Dr. Wen Yuan Yu joined Intermountain Healthcare’s Boulder Crossing myGeneration Senior Clinic to promote health in the community and hone his medical skills. He feels fortunate to be involved in the life of a great city.

Dr. Yu enjoys helping patients live healthier lives and to understand the factors important to their wellbeing. He finds cases involving infectious diseases, HIV treatment and prevention, and diabetes and hypertension management the most interesting and challenging.

Dr. Yu grew up in Toronto, Ontario. Both of his parents were physicians in Shanghai, China, and gave up good careers to escape the Communist Party. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking in the hills around Las Vegas and stargazing in the night sky. He is interested in investing in forward-thinking companies such as Tesla.

Dr. Yu earned his DO degree from Western University of Health Sciences. He also holds a BS in mathematics from University of Waterloo and a JD from University of British Columbia. He did his residency in internal medicine at University of Nevada Las Vegas. He had his first article published in 2019 after working with his wife as coauthor for several years.
