Nida Bonuel, MD

Dr. Nida Bonuel was born in the Philippines, where she was encouraged by her late father to become a physician. Since then, Dr. Bonuel has worked diligently to make her dream a reality and to care for those around her.

At Intermountain Health’s Siena myGeneration Senior Clinic, Dr. Bonuel is an internal medicine provider and cares for adult patients of all ages and backgrounds. Dr. Bonuel prides herself in taking an ample amount of time to take care of her patients and to listen attentively to their concerns or complaints. She has an excellent bedside manner and strives to make her patients feel heard. She is fluent in Tagalog/Filipino and English and can care for patients who speak either or both languages.

When she is not busy caring for patients, Dr. Bonuel enjoys playing music and spending time with her family, sometimes simultaneously. Dr. Bonuel plays the piano and guitar, her husband plays the piano and her three children play piano, violin, and saxophone, making them a very musical family.

Patients may be surprised to learn Dr. Bonuel served in the US Air Force and earned the rank of Sergeant during her time serving.

Dr. Bonuel received her undergraduate and medical degree from Far Eastern University in Manilla, Philippines. She had a post-graduate internship at Maolos Provincial Hospital in the Philippines and completed rural training at Malacañang Clinic in Manila. Dr. Bonuel completed her internal medicine residency at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
