Dr. Carol Hungerford brought her two years of medical practice experience to Intermountain Health because she admires the family-friendly nature of our organization.

Dr. Hungerford’s mother says she was interested in medicine since she was a toddler. She began her training with a BS in natural science from Loyola Marymount University, after which she earned her DO from Touro University in Henderson.

She then joined the US Air Force and honed her skills as an instructor for family medicine residents at Nellis Air Force Base, as an urgent care clinic physician at an air base in Africa, and chief resident at Nellis Family Medicine Residency where she taught advanced cardiac life support classes. Her last position before coming to Intermountain Health was family medicine staff physician overseeing 1400 patients in a full-spectrum family medicine clinic that also offered acupuncture and osteopathic manipulation.

In her spare time, Dr. Hungerford enjoys wildlife photography, cooking, and traveling.
